The Packers Fence — A Green Bay Tradition Since 2015
Zane Statz is the artist and creator behind Green Bay's most iconic stretch of fence art — a tradition on Lombardi Avenue facing Lambeau Field that he has led every year since 2015, across two distinct chapters.
From 2015 to 2022, Zane designed and painted the original Packers Fence each season — a large-scale graffiti-style mural that became one of the most recognized pieces of Packers fan culture in Green Bay, earning the Silver ADDY Award in 2016 and the Gold ADDY Award in 2021.
In 2023, he launched something entirely new on a different fence: the Community Packers Fence — a paint-by-numbers mural designed by Zane and painted by the community itself. Each year he designs the full piece, grids it out into numbered sections, and invites Packers fans and Green Bay residents to show up and paint it to life alongside him. What started as his personal creative project has evolved into a genuine community tradition — raising thousands of dollars for local charities and drawing hundreds of people to pick up a brush each season.
Both fences have been featured on Fox 11, the Green Bay Press-Gazette, WBAY, WFRV, ESPN, Sports Center, Bleacher Report, NFL Network, NFL Prime Thursday Night Football, ESPN Monday Night Football, ABC Sports and NBC Sunday Night Football. Winner of the 2021 and 2025 Gold ADDY Award.

Zane has become the go-to cleat artist for Green Bay Packers players — painting custom cleats worn in NFL games by Jayden Reed, Kenny Clark, Romeo Doubs, TJ Slaton, Darnell Savage, Sean Clifford, Rashan Gary and Jaire Alexander.
